In April 2010, I was overweight, always tired, and very unhealthy. I weighed in at 305 plus pounds, this is when I decided it was time to get my life back on track. I started working out with weights and slow walking on the treadmill. Then after a visit to Max Muscle Vancouver in August 2010 and being inspired by my friends, I made a decision that has literally changed my life. I decided to train for and do the Honolulu Marathon and the Seattle Half Marathon. I am a goal driven person so I needed a goal to push me to be a better person that was strong mentally as well as physically. I also wanted to do this for those that were less fortunate than me, those that couldn't walk or run. I know for a fact that anyone of them would love to do what I was about to do, this thought really fueled the fire within me. But the most important reason for doing this is, the opportunity to set an example to everyone, including my daughter that anything is possible if you just believe.

At the start of my training, I had a hard time running one mile at a 15 minute mile pace. I would get tired, my mind would give up and I would simply get too tired. I found that supplements like Enduromax from Max Muscle gave me that extra edge and energy that I needed during my runs. And I also use Max ARM for recovery after my runs. Another important aspect in my training was the support of my family and friends. They gave me that extra motivation, when times were tough and I wanted to give up. The staff at Max Muscle also was a great help in keeping me on track. They were always available and willing to assist me with any training or nutrition questions, which helped me a great deal. By marathon time, I went from 305lbs to about 250lbs, with progress still being made. I was stronger, leaner, and now I had more energy. I was running up to 20 to 30 miles each week at a pace ranging from 13 to 15 minute mile. I completed the Seattle Half Marathon with a time of 3:17 and felt great. As for the Honolulu Marathon, I ran the first 16 miles and walked the last 10.2 miles for a finish time of 8:27.

The excitement and joy of completing a 26.2 mile marathon was simply amazing. I had a lot of fun participating in it, meeting new people and inspiring others along the way. Without hesitation, I would sign up for this marathon again, next time I will run the whole 26.2 miles. This journey has been life changing for me. When I run, I feel centered and complete. It has thought me to be more patient with myself and others. I now realize that good things come for those who wait. Sometimes, it is worth the wait for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I have discovered that our mind is very powerful and anything is possible if we put our mind, body, and soul into it. Condition your mind by visualizing your goals like you already achieved it. It's like anything in life, success will come for those who are patient and have a goal in mind. The most inspirational aspect of this training for me was seeing other people get inspired to get in shape and run the marathon also. This really fuels my fire and encourages me to keep going. So get out there and start running!! In 2011, I am planning to run the Max Muscle Vancouver Half Marathon, the Seattle Rock N Roll Marathon, the Seahawks 12K Run, the Big Climb Seattle, the Warrior Dash, and the Honolulu Marathon. Keep in mind, before the marathons, I did not like running. I am built like a Sumo wrestler and running is usually not in my vocabulary. But, if I was ever going to inspire people to do their best, I needed to do it by leading by example. Now, I love to run!

Thank you Trevor and Tracy at Max Muscle Vancouver for your great products and awesome service!

For years I have struggled with my weight. My exercise program wasn't bad, however, my eating habits fluxed. As I got older, I started having some health issues (lots of leg, foot and back issues), largely because of carrying extra pounds. I came into the Hazel Dell Max Muscle store to inquire about some of the products. I walked out with MaxPro and an issue of Max Muscle magazine. Well I started using the MaxPro but not with the right attitude. I didn't change anything else in my life. After a few weeks I stopped altogether. About 4 months later I was having surgery on my foot. While home recovering, I decided to read the Max Muscle magazine Trevor gave me 4 months prior. In it, I read and article about coming into the Max Muscle store to meet with a Certified Nutrition Specialist.

The article fit me to a T. It said, "are you one of those people who go to the gym all the time but never see results?" It talked about eating right, exercising right and using the Read more...

While pursing many worthy goals at work, school, and home, I managed over the course of several last years to neglect the most important goal of all: my personal well-being.

Poor eating habits and high stress levels had wreaked havoc on my body. I suffered from constant exhaustion, reactive hypoglycemia, and had very limited endurance during exercise. Headaches, shakiness, and fatigue intruded into my daily activities and affected my ability to enjoy my life. I was full of goals and ambition, and I just didn't have the energy to see them through.

I turned to Trevor and Tracy frustrated with the state of my health and was offered invaluable support and guidance. Together we created a personalized meal plan both flexible enough to allow variety and structured enough to provide clear guidelines.
